Twin Lakes Action Group (TLAG) has more on its plate than concerns about housing density on what has been Boulder County Parks and Open Space vacant land. Boulder County officials gave the go-ahead to apply for a matching grant through the Colorado Department of Transportation last week. The $530,000 grant of federal monies would include a match from the county of $130,000. Those matching monies could potentially come out of the road and bridge fund. On Thursday, June 30, the Colorado Court of Appeals upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit that asked the courts to require Boulder County to pay for the repaving of roads in unincorporated neighborhoods. The lawsuit was submitted by a group of homeowners wanting the county to fund the repaving of their subdivision roadways, led by lead plaintiff Chuck Wibby of Gunbarrel. A small plane crashed last Wednesday, June 15 in Creede, Colorado, killing the three people on board, including 17-year-old Niwot High School student David Louwers, of Longmont.
