All Local, All The Time

W is for wildlife

More than a hundred people from the Twin Lakes Action Group and the Boulder Neighborhood Alliance gathered to form a “’W’ for Wildlife” on the Twin Lakes north field.

The purpose of the demonstration was to show support for the Twin Lakes' herons, coyotes, eagles, and birds such as the lazuli bunting, plus other diverse wildlife, and to help keep the character of unique neighborhoods in Boulder. Both groups object to what is believed to be the unprecedented action of “annexation through open space.” This type of annexation, the groups feel, would enable development of land that has been designation as open space.
