The Niwot Community Association Board will see some changes in leadership for 2018. At the Jan. 3 NCA meeting, President Dick Piland announced that he will not run again when his current term ends in April. Piland has served as NCA president since April 2013. The Niwot Community Association is looking for anyone interested in volunteering time and/or tulip bulbs to help fill a space on Niwot Road between the Diagonal Highway and Franklin. The Niwot LID Advisory Committee held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 1, and reviewed the budget reports prepared by county liaison Pete Salas and LID treasurer Harris Faberman. Following a successful July 4 parade, the Niwot Community Association board has turned its attention to working with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office to hold a National Night Out event in Niwot. Despite gray skies for much of the day, the Niwot Cleanup Day sponsored by the Niwot Community Association was a success again this year.
