At sixteen years old, Rhiannon McDermid already has a résumé that many seasoned competitors would admire. Going into her senior year in high school at Silver Creek, she has spent the past three years competing in horse judging. McDermid also tutors at Niwot High School. On Friday, Aug. 15, at 6 a.m., Niwot High School seniors gathered on Niwot's football field for the annual Senior Sunrise to kick off the school year. Niwot High School takes pride in its annual transitional program, Link Crew. The Link Crew is a group of student volunteers in 11th and 12th grade who aid new students in the transition from 8th grade to high school. This year, the 90 Link Crew leaders are challenged with welcoming, orienting, and helping the transition of just over 400 students.
