    Niwot Youth Sports (NYS) baseball had another great year in 2025, with well over 300 players enjoying the game locally and taking the NYS banner on the road around the Front Range and beyond. The NYS Recreational (Rec) baseball program includes players ranging from pre-school age through high school.     The gymnasiums at Niwot High School buzzed with energy this June as Niwot Youth Sports (NYS) hosted its popular basketball camps, drawing nearly 100 young athletes eager to learn from high school coaches and players. The summer sports camps are a joint effort between NYS and Niwot High.     From June 23 through June 26, approximately 60 campers participated in this year's boys basketball camp at Niwot High School, sponsored by Niwot Youth Sports in cooperation with the NHS basketball program. The campers, ranging in age from incoming first graders to eighth graders, congregated at Niwot High School, using both gyms.     Niwot Youth Sports (NYS) is set to begin its winter basketball season this week, with games scheduled to start on Saturday, Jan. 11. The program continues to demonstrate strong community engagement despite some new capacity limitations.
