The Left Hand Valley Courier is known for its coverage of athletes and arts students at Niwot High School. The Courier also honors an array of students who pursue activities such as community service, robotics, academics, and topics that fall under the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) umbrella.
All students and teachers at Niwot High School who know Izzy Fay recognize her as a hardworking, dedicated individual. Through her passion for diving, Fay has become a well-known athlete among Niwot students.
Fay, who practices the sport of diving both with her Niwot High School swim team and with club organizations, is a two-time 4A State Diving winner in the 1-meter category.
The last dive she took as a competitor within Niwot's Swim and Dive program was her winning dive at the State Championship in February of this year.
Fay is known by her coaches as composed, prepared, and passionate. This year, especially, she proved to be one of the many star athletes at Niwot High School.
Despite being in a stressful position at state head-to-head with Windsor's Reagan Annable, she persevered and won by 4.15 points.
Throughout her time at Niwot, Fay has also thrived academically, gaining a high reputation among her teachers over the years, leading her to commit to California State University, Bakersfield.
There, she will be furthering her diving career in the NCAA Division One Swim and Dive program as well as pursuing a degree in psychology, with the eventual goal of becoming a nurse.
In her free time, Fay enjoys spending time outside, enjoying Colorado's trails for hiking, going to the gym, and playing sports.
Her presence in the Niwot community will be missed, but Fay's family, friends, and teachers all agree that she will thrive, and look forward to watching her continue her academic and athletic careers in California.
