    After an 0-5 start to the season, the Niwot Cougars were looking to get well in the Arizona sunshine, and it turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. Niwot faced Toledo, OR in the first game, and scored in every inning of a 22-1 mercy-rule victory.     Thomas Zimmerman, 72 of Erie, died Dec. 12, 2017, due to complications resulting from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tom was an architect who was associated with Fletemeyer & Lee Associates of Niwot at the time of his death. Services were held in December.   • Meals on Wheels in Niwot all week

    Longmont’s Meals on Wheels program is now serving Niwot residents all week long. Karla Hale, executive director at the Longmont Senior Center, said that during her previous 16 years at the center, Niwot has only been served on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. “Mainly what it is really about is having enough volunteers to add on those extra days,” Hale said. “When we add on an extra route, we’re talking so many more volunteers needed every day and substitute drivers for those routes too.” The... Full story
