Eight students from Sunset Middle School were selected for the St. Vrain Valley School District's Honor Band. The students selected included (l to r) Hazel Viswanath, Emily Warriner, Fin Pendergrast, Jacob Morales, Antonio Gutierrez, Emmett Troy, and Theo Fischer. Salvador Montes was also a participant but is not pictured.
St. Vrain Valley Schools presented a concert at Longmont High School Feb. 7, which included a performance by the district's Middle School Honor Band, conducted by Mr. Phuong Nguyen. Nguyen, a graduate of Colorado State University, has 23 years of teaching experience and currently teaches at Boltz Middle School in Fort Collins.
