The Boss to appear at Rock & Rails

Series: April Fools | Story 8

Some call him Bruce, others The Boss, but whatever you call him, you may be seeing him at the Rock & Rails concert series this summer. While he's known for playing to huge crowds, "The Boss" is from a small town and has an affinity for communities like Niwot, which leaves the door open for a date at the renowned Thursday night concert series.

If COVID is under control by July, concert goers could hear new renditions of songs that are tweaked for The Boss' Small Town America Tour: "2nd Avenue Freeze Out," "Downbound RTD Train," "My Niwot Hometown," "The Ditch" (previously known as The River), "4th of July Pancake Breakfast," "Incident on 79th St," "Glory Daze," "Dancing in the Park," and the summer afternoon favorite, "Thunderstorm Road."

The concert wouldn't be complete without an encore featuring Bruce's iconic "Born to Run the LOBO Trail."

Since there are plenty of reasons to doubt that Springsteen will actually bring the E Street Band to Rock & Rails, music fans can be confident that they will get to see a Bruce band of another sort - The Niwot Community Semi-Marching Free Grange Band, led by The Boss of Niwot, or at least The Boss of the Warren, Carlson & Moore law firm, Bruce "Biff" Warren, (who happens to be from a small town in Nebraska, which almost certainly was the inspiration for Springsteen's acclaimed Nebraska album).

Let's all hope for a return to normalcy this summer and the promise of sharing music together, no matter which Bruce is playing.
