'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes'

Unfortunately, the title from The Platters' song didn't mention the smoke that invades your nose and lungs. While there are no fires in the mountains directly to the west of the Left Hand Valley, most everyone in northern Colorado is suffering from poor air quality due to fires in the west. Many residents have had to deal with falling ash as well. According to Colorado Air Quality's website, high ozone and periods of heavy smoke are expected for the Front Range through the week of Aug. 17.
