Sophie Spalding (Niwot) was a member of the University of Colorado's Nordic Skiing team last winter. Spalding finished 25th in the women's Nordic 20K Freestyle event held in Alaska, as CU finished second overall. She posted a time of 1:04:34.9, sixth-best on the squad.
