All Local, All The Time

Happenings at the Hall

The latest aesthetic update to Niwot Hall is the beautiful, handcrafted encasements of the three metal poles that run down the center of the main hall. These new columns, in keeping with the vintage style of the Hall, add a wonderful touch of class to the venue. Come by to see this small, but mighty improvement when you attend an event at the Hall.

Niwot Community Connection

Thursday, May 8, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

The NCC's May meeting will feature a presentation by Pat Craig, founder and executive director of The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado. Driven by the discovery of countless confined and euthanized "surplus" animals, Pat embarked on an animal rescue mission at just 19 years old. He became the youngest licensed zoological director and pioneered the first sanctuary dedicated to large carnivores.

Craig's 45+ years of visionary leadership has established the world's longest running and largest nonprofit sanctuary, providing refuge for abused, abandoned, exploited, and illegally kept exotic and endangered animals. A sought-after national speaker, Pat collaborates with organizations such as the USDA and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department to strengthen animal welfare. Dubbed a "Modern Day Noah," his impactful rescue efforts span international borders. Overseeing all operations and innovating specialized rescue equipment, Pat's dedication has garnered significant recognition, awards, as well as profiles on national television shows.
