Longtime Niwot resident John Rexford Stobbelaar (74), died Sept. 3. John served as a volunteer for the Niwot Volunteer Fire Department, now Mountain View Fire Rescue, and was known for the hand-carved wooden bowls he made out of felled trees from the Niwot area. Services have not been announced.
