Cleanup crew gets park ready for Rock & Rails

A crew of volunteers spent the morning of May 13 getting Whistle Stop Park ready for the Rock & Rails summer concert season.

Several volunteers cleaned the Depot Building and the Caboose, while others hung banners at the front gate and on the Caboose. Barrels and table tops were moved out of the Depot and lights were reinstalled in preparation for the first concert on June 1.

Offseason work included installing additional fencing at the southwest corner of the park, and new signage.

Crew members, who also volunteer at the concerts, included Tony Maurer, Vicki Maurer, Dan Hawk, Julie Breyer, Chris Davis, Lulu Davis, Dave Snow, Tim Conarro, Colleen Beebe and Biff Warren.
