Preliminary results of the Mountain View Fire Board of Directors election

The Mountain View Fire Protection District (MVFPD) Board of Directors is composed of five people representing citizens of the district. Each director must be a resident or property owner within the district.

An election was held on May 2 for three of the five seats. Preliminary results show that the following people have been elected to the board:

Suzanne DeVenny received the most votes with 304. DeVenny is the current treasurer of the board. She was appointed to the board in 2022 with the merger with Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District where she served as Treasurer and Vice President.

Todd Venrick received the next highest number of votes with 192. Venrick grew up in Longmont and has been employed in the fire service for the past 25 years.

Colleen Whitlow was also elected to the board with 170 votes. Whitlow is a Colorado native and lives in Mead where she is a business owner and also serves as mayor of the town. Whitlow was previously a director of Mountain View Fire Rescue. She serves on several volunteer boards and committees.

John Heisler (134 votes) and Tem Dowo Dieudonne Sedegan (87 votes) were also on the ballot, but were not elected.

The final results will be announced on May 11.
