Boulder Swim Team hires new coach

Boulder Swim Team, a midsize swimming club in Colorado, lost its long-time head coach, but wasted no time in filling the position. The club team, which includes several swimmers from the Niwot-Gunbarrel area, hired Jordan Moore-Brown, whom they described as "a promising young head coach from Tennessee." Moore-Brown's coaching resume includes 12 years of coaching experience, including leading age-group and senior swimmers into championships, All-Star teams, and USA Top 10 Times.

The team's hiring process drew international applicants, but in the end, Moore-Brown stood out from the other applicants. "His passion for swimming, especially about the nuances of modern technique and information, really impressed us," said Kevin Glynn, Vice President of the Board of Boulder Swim Team.

Moore-Brown, will complete the season with his current team, but is excited for the move. "It's an incredible opportunity to be able to learn from and work with some of the best athletes and coaches on the Front Range," he said. "I can't wait to help build on the one-of-a-kind foundation and support that exists at Boulder Swim Team."

Jill Tappert, President of the Board, said, "We stayed strong during this time of transition because of the dedication of our coaches and swimmers. We like who we are, and we're about to be even better."
