Why is the Grange closed?

Don't worry, it's good news. Beginning Feb. 13, new flooring will be installed on the first level. The project is slated to be completed by Feb. 21. Watch for before and after photos showing off what is expected to be a dramatic update.

Niwot Community Connection

Thursday, Feb. 9, 10- 11:30 a.m.

The Niwot Community Connection offers a diverse array of activities for folks 50 and over. In addition to the traditional agenda, this month's meeting will include guests Becky Crandell, of Art Parts, a reuse art supplies store in Boulder, and Mindy Upton, from Blue Sky Craft Studio in Niwot. The duo will give a presentation titled "Awakening Your Artistic and Creative Side,'' which will culminate in attendees making Valentine's cards to be given as tray favors to delivery recipients of Meals On Wheels.

Bring a name tag or a business card to the meeting. Business cards will be put in plastic business card holders The cards may be from a place of business, conference, and social group, one that you made for yourself or any other conversation piece.

Open Stage - A musical community event

Sunday, Feb. 12, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Performer sign up begins at 1:15 p.m.

Do you like folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, pop, and rock? Enjoy Open Stage as an audience member or perform for the community. Everyone is welcome! Play a cover piece or an original. Bring a musical instrument; a harmonica, guitar, banjo or your voice. Sound equipment, mics, and a piano are all provided.

This free heartwarming, foot tapping, hum-along entertainment is certain to touch your heart and soul, all courtesy of our community's abundant homegrown talent.

Group dance classes

Tuesdays, Feb. 21 and 28, 5 - 7 p.m.

Lindy Bartruff's company, Lindybdance, offers fun and supportive dance classes for all ages and experience levels.

Three group classes, together called "Circles and Lines," begin at 5 p.m. on each of those Tuesdays starting with CircleFit 7, where you can learn fun dance and aerobic steps in circles or chains. Line dancing to country and contemporary songs begins at 6 p.m. and International Circle Dance, consisting of ethnic circle and chain dances, begins at 7 p.m.
