Upcoming Grange Events

Niwot Community Connection monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 10, 10-11:30 a.m.

This month's guest speaker will be Laurie Algar who will present "Growing Up Disney," an engaging look at her father's 4-plus decade career with Walt Disney. Algar's presentation is filled with vintage photos from her Disney childhood, original animation sheets, memos from Walt Disney, and more.

In addition to the traditional catch-up on group activities, announcements, and other news, the NCC will be collecting nonperishable food items to donate to Longmont's OUR (Outreach United Resource) Center. Please consider bringing a nonperishable food item to the meeting.

November and December Group dance classes

Dancer, teacher, and choreographer Lindy Bartruff is offering group dance classes at the Grange. LindyBDance, Bartruff's program, offers energized, supportive dance, and fitness classes for all experience levels and ages. Upcoming classes will be held on the following Tuesdays: Nov. 15, 22, 29, and Dec. 13, 20, 27.

Together the three classes are titled "Circles and Lines." They begin at 5 p.m. on each of those Tuesdays with CircleFit 7, where you will learn dance and aerobic steps that flow in circles and chains. Next up is Line Dancing to country and contemporary songs which begins at 6 p.m. followed by International Circle Dance consisting of ethnic circle and chain dances at 7 p.m.

Open Stage community music Sunday, Nov. 20, 1:30-3:30

If you enjoy music of any kind, Open Stage at the Left Hand Grange is sure to be of interest to you. Whether you're an audience member or a performer, join in on the monthly foot tapping community fun.

Perform on the musical instrument of your choice (your voice, harmonica, guitar, banjo, piano, etc.) and present your original music or a cover of someone else's. All are welcome to attend at no cost. Performers must be high school age or older. Each performance slot is 12 minutes, which is about three songs long. Sound equipment, microphones, and a piano are provided. Performer sign-ups begin at 1:15 p.m.
