Niwot's Marshall Fire fund grows

Deborah Read Fowler, NBA vice-president and chief architect of Niwot's Small Town/Big Heart fundraising effort to assist victims of the Marshall Fire, reported that the fund is now at $60,160.75 as of March 16. The Niwot Business Association's goal is to raise $100,000 from the Niwot community.

Several Niwot businesses have hosted fundraising events, and students at Niwot High School have joined the effort. Donations are being administered by the Community Foundation for Boulder County, and so far, include:

  • Donations online - $2,809.95
  • Apres Ski event - $2089
  • Prime Rib Night - Niwot Tavern ($1,500 matched by DSL Cabinetry) - $6,415
  • Britpop Night - Niwot Wheelworks - $4,448
  • Poker Night - Niwot Wheelworks - 2,150
  • Wine Pairing Dining - Farow ($5,000 matched by Porchfront Homes) - $13,065
  • Left Hand Giving Circle - $10,000
  • Niwot Inn Tea ($500 matched by DRF Real Estate) - $1,000
  • Ciminis Brunch ($1,000 matched by the Adjustorium) - $3,800
  • Lucky Niwot Day - $810
  • Anonymous donation - $10,000
