Bring your green to Lucky Niwot Day

Top of the mornin' to ya, laddies. I hope you're excited for Saint Patrick's Day, because a festival is coming up, known as Lucky Niwot Day. It will take place on March 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 2nd Avenue and in Cottonwood Square.

Among the lively festivi include live music, Irish dancing (outside of Blessings Day Spa at Cottonwood Square), a magic show and brunch at the Niwot Wheel Works, an Irish poetry reading and green tea service at Inkberry Books, free carriage rides (wait on second 2nd Avenue or at Cottonwood Square to hop on), a "Lucky Wheel" event at Niwot Group/Compass Real Estate, a Shamrock Social at Niwot Inn, and a pot-of-gold hunt for kids at Colorado Landmark real estate office on 2nd Avenue.

There will be a similar "pot-of-gold" prize taking place at the Wandering Jellyfish, where kids will be given a few riddles to answer correctly.

There will also be a silent auction at the Niwot Emporium, and all proceeds will go towards the Marshall Fire victims.

When you want to grab a bite, there will be plenty of Irish-themed, and other delicious foods, prepared wherever you go. Pancakes will be served at the Niwot Market, Irish shortbread served at Few of a Kind Vintage, Irish coffee served in a souvenir cup (plus rainbow candy) at Blessings Day Spa, homemade Irish cream liqueur at Fly Away Home, shamrock cookies at Little Bird and Irish Nachos and corn beef reuben served at the Niwot Tavern.
