Cimmini's hosts symphony bruch to benefit Marshall Fire fund

On Feb. 26, the Italian restaurant Ciminini's (300 2nd Ave.) hosted a fundraising event for the Marshall Fire victims. Customers paid $25 per ticket to enjoy a lovely Saturday morning, while listening to a live cello performance. All food and drinks came with the ticket, which included the choice of pancakes, French toast, cottage cheese parfait with avocado toast, scrambled eggs, sausages and hams, a pastry basket, specialty coffee, and of course, hot cocoa.

A silent auction was held at the bar counter. Blessings Day Spa, the Garden Gate Cafe, Colorado Landmark, Fly Away Home, Porchfront Homes, Buckner Family Ranch, Osmosis Art and Architecture, Pebble Art Jewelry, Sante Day Spa, and other businesses auctioned off their gift cards and all purchases went towards the fundraiser.

The event was sponsored by Deb Fowler of Colorado Landmark and Boulder Symphony. A portion of the ticket proceeds went towards Niwot's Small Town, Big Heart Marshall Fire Relief Fund, administered by the Community Foundation Boulder County. The goal is for the Niwot community to raise $100,000 to directly support families who lost their homes from the devastating fires. Saturday's event raised another $4,000 for the fund.

The next Marshall Fire fundraiser event will be on Lucky Niwot Day, a family-friendly version of St. Patrick's Day. It will take place on March 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 2nd Avenue and in Cottonwood Square. A silent auction will take place at the Niwot Emporium and all proceeds will go towards the charitable cause. Other festivities include Irish dancing, Winot Coffee serving matcha green tea, and magic shows at Niwot Wheel Works. There will be a pot-of-gold hunt for kids at Fowler's Colorado Landmark real estate office on 2nd Avenue. Not every festivity is finalized yet, but more details are sure to come.
