Niwot pitcher Aliya McComas pitches against Thornton on Aug. 27. The Cougars went on to win the game 8-6 on a walk off hit by Aliya’s sister Ayva in the bottom of the seventh. Since then, the Cougars have won two more games and improved to 4-3 on the season.
After starting the 2018 with three straight losses, the Niwot softball team rattled off four wins in a row, including an 8-6 walk off over Thornton on Aug. 27.
