Road closures begin next week

The Boulder County Transportation Department announced the next round of closings for the 95th Street intersection improvement project.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on March 12, the following closures will be in effect:

  • 95th Street will be closed from north of Valmont Road to just south of Isabelle Road.
  • Isabelle Road will be closed west of US 287.
  • Valmont Road will be closed at 75th Street.
  • Access to the Teller Farm trailhead will be maintained on Valmont, please approach from 75th Street.

The work being done includes completing the drainage, installing private utilities, and roadway widening/resurfacing. The same travel restrictions that were in place during the fall will be enforced during working hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The department said that work and closures are expected to last through May.

Emergency services will have access through the construction zone at all times. Residents who live along the zone, their guests and their service providers will be granted access to the area at all times.

The project’s website is http://www.bouldercounty.org/transportation/plans-and-projects/95th-intersections. The site contains background information and provides updates as work progresses.
