October 27, 2017

Courtesy Photo Thank you from the 80th Weapons shop, Kunsan Air Base, South Korea! Everyone greatly appreciated the homemade cookies and candies sent from the Niwot Patriotic Moms. Thank you, Senior Airmen David Botterill

Editor’s Note: Packages were mailed in early October, and included a copy of the Courier.

If you know of any deployed Soldiers/Sailors/Marines/Airmen that would like a package, and have an APO/FPO address that you can provide, please email editorial@lhvc.com.

I am currently deployed to (removed) and I received a box of snacks and a letter inside from you,

I read the letter and looked in the newspaper and it made my day. I could tell that people actually put effort into this box and it was people I don’t even know.

My buddies and I really appreciate the support from people back home.

I can’t say thank you enough and neither can my buddies for this generous gift.

I know you brightened all of the soldiers days while we are deployed with care packages like these. Again thank you all.

*****

I want to thank you for the care package that I received through the Niwot Patriotic Moms.

I truly appreciate the support and my Marines thank you as well, as I shared the goodies with them. In the box was snacks and Halloween candy as well as stars from weather torn flags.

I have to say that in 20 years of service I have never seen that in care packages. Very cool!

Please thank everyone that donates their time in putting these packages together, you are appreciated.

So from my Marines and myself, Thank you. Our unit is 1st Battalion 8th Marines, Weapons Company and we are based out of Camp Lejeune, NC. Semper Fi!
