    The Aria Singers of Gunbarrel are gearing up for their spring session and ready for people to join up. The group of women has been around for 10 years, and currently has 28 members. Julia Luerman is a relatively new member, but said that she is excited to start the spring with new director Mary Chapin Durling. The choir holds its spring concert in May, with another concert in December.   • Hemenway receives Eagle Scout honors

    Nathan Hemenway earned the rank of Eagle Scout last month after completing 49 achievements for merit badges. Boy Scout Troop 161, sponsored by Left Hand Grange No. 9, now has 83 scouts who have attained the rank of Eagle. Scoutmaster Justin Brooks, Troop Advancement Chair Michelle Law, and Troop Treasurer Mike Horn presented the award at the Court of Honor. Hemenway began scouting as a Cub Scout in San Ramon, CA.
