Sophomore LiChen Liao captured the 2021 Class 4A No. 2 singles title after beating Owen Duffy of George Washington 6-1, 6-3 in the championship finals. In earlier rounds, Liao won matches over players from D'Evelyn and Kent Denver.
Behind a title-winning performance from LiChen Liao at No. 2 singles, the Niwot boys tennis team finished third overall at the 2021 Class 4A state tennis championships, held at Pueblo's City Park on Oct. 14-16.
