Filling the Boot in Niwot

On Friday, Sept. 3, firefighters from the Mountain View Fire Protection District were at Niwot Market collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a non-profit dedicated to combating neuromuscular diseases, including ALS. Each Labor Day since 1954, firefighters across the country have been "filling the boot" on behalf of the organization, raising an estimated $20 million or more per year.
