All Local, All The Time

'Whoos' looking at you?

In a state like Colorado, it pays to look up. In this case it wasn't about an avalanche, but a pair of owls. For Niwot resident Chad Fogelberg looking up paid off. "They mated several times in a nearby tree. We witnessed them mating and thought we were done seeing them. Several days later, we heard hooting in our front yard. We saw both in our pine tree near each other. I took a photo of one."

Fogelberg added, "They were 30 to 40 feet up in a pine tree and stayed for a couple of hours." Hopefully the next thing he'll see when looking up are a few owlets.
