    The Niwot Community Association (NCA) held its monthly board meeting Aug. 3 in the Mountain View Fire Rescue Niwot Station conference room. The board bid farewell to Kim Hawksworth who stepped down as the NCA’s events planning director because she will be leaving Niwot. Kim has been a member of the board since 2015, and has served as events planning director since 2018.     National Night Out, a nationwide effort to connect communities with first responders, returns to Niwot Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Niwot Community Association and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
