After a two-year hiatus, Oktoberfest returned to Cottonwood Square on Saturday, Sept. 30. The festivities kicked off at 11 a.m. with a Nerf Animal Shooting Gallery for kids and adults alike. Pete Dawson, age 72, of Estes Park, formerly of Niwot, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on August 20, 2023. Throughout October, 100 households (including three from out of state) participated in the 2022 Niwot Pumpkin Walk. The goal was to kickstart holiday shopping and explore retail businesses in the downtown area.
