I saw two Bald Eagles today. One was on a utility pole enjoying a lunch while the other soared over the open space field of stubble just east of Gunbarrel hill. What a joyous treat! The House Blend Band is back for a fourth summer of concerts on Second Avenue. The Niwot Local Improvement District Advisory Committee (LID) approved funding for the popular concerts, now known as 2nd Avenue Concert Series, based on an application from the Niwot Business Association, presented by Michael Tomich and Patty Machen of The Old Oak Coffeehouse. Panasas, Inc. is renting the office space above the restaurant Farow in Cottonwood Square. The space was recently vacated by Skyland Analytics, a company that dealt with cloud-based data management and analytics. Vandals struck Niwot late Sunday evening, defacing the LOBO Trail underpass at Niwot Road with graffiti.
