    The Colorado Supreme Court announced last week that Justice Nathan B. Coats will be the Court’s next Chief Justice. The Court’s Associate Justices selected Justice Coats to head the Court effective June 30, 2018, upon the retirement of Chief Justice Nancy E. Rice.   • High winds cause local power outages, tree damage

    Winds gusting up to 65 m.p.h. knocked down power lines and snapped tree limbs as a quick moving front descended on the front range Tuesday afternoon. Power outages and street closures caused busing disruptions for students in the St. Vrain Valley School district, and many area athletic events were rescheduled.
