OF EVENTS
Pioneer Pancake Breakfast
A Niwot Optimist’s Club tradition at the Left Hand Grange building at Second Avenue and Franklin Street. Bring your friends, family and neighbors to this delicious Pancake Breakfast before or after the Parade or Fun Run. Enjoy Left Hand Grange Pancakes, Hinman Scrambled Eggs, Chief Niwot Sausage, Dry Creek Coffee and Dodd Orange Juice. Adults $5, Kids $3, and children under 6 free.
Run, walk or ride but get moving and enjoy the fresh country air and the sidewalks of Niwot. An event for everyone! Bring the kids, Fido, and grandma and grandpa. Sign-in at 7 a.m. and start at the corner of Franklin Street and Second Avenue.
For kids of all ages! Located at the corner of Murray Street and Second Avenue in Old Town, all can lean a pole into the Fishing Pond for fun prizes.Nostalgia Days Parade 9:00 a.m. Line-up Neva Road and Meadowdale This colorful parade walks through historic "Old Town" downtown Niwot and features the Niwot High School Band, Grand Marshals Verna and Ray Newman, enthusiastic neighborhood representatives, local business groups, Scouts and much, much more. Be sure to be in the line-up for this special annual community event. Call Happy Schaffner for more information at 303-652-2557.Parade Route: The parade will assemble at 9:00 a.m. at Neva Road and Meadowdale. It will start at 9:30 and move along Neva Road to Fifth Avenue. From there the parade will travel down Murray Street to Second Avenue. It will proceed on Second Avenue through Historic Downtown Niwot to Niwot Road. The parade route continues along Niwot Road east and returns to the starting point of Neva Road and Meadowdale. Bring the kids and dance! A swinging good time. A Glen Miller style band will be adding to the old time atmosphere during a neighborly Nostalgia Days celebration.Street Fair 10:30 a.m. Craft Fair booths will be throughout our historic Niwot. Featuring many local crafters and businesses, adding to the spirit of the day.Seaside Picnic 11:30 a.m. Seafood served by the Niwot Ladies’ Club on Second Avenue near the antique shops. Find lobster rolls, fresh lemonade and peach crisp dessert. Colorful beach chairs umbrellas and wading pools will line the sidewalk. Old Fashioned Kid’s Games, Bongo the Balloon Man and Pony Rides will add to the old time nostalgic fun.
This local square dance club entertains Niwotians at Cottonwood Square. Tables and chairs may be limited, so be sure to bring lawn chairs and sit up front. This is an alcohol free event.Pig Roast 6:00 ‘till it’s all gone
