The following is an open letter from Principal Connie Brodt to Niwot Elementary School parents.

Dear Niwot Families,  February 16, 2001

It is with great hesitation that I share some news.  Recently, I advised the Niwot Elementary School staff and PTAC that I was applying for the prinicipalship at Mead Elementary for the 2001-2002 school year.  On Wednesday, February 14, at the Board of Education meeting, my name was recommended for that position and voted upon favorably.  I will be the principal at Mead Elementary School beginning 2001-2002 school year.  Please know that I will continue to dedicate my time and energy in your children’s educational needs through the end of the school year.

My tenure of eight years has provided me with many fond relationships and experiences.  I will miss everyone.  There are times in everyone’s lives that a change is necessary.  This is that time in my life.  I have given my love, dedication and commitment to the Niwot community.  In return you have shown support, respect and trust in the education of your children.  I have enjoyed getting to know and being a part of your family.  Many memories will carry me through this transition.  The expertise and skills I have gained has been through your children.  

Thank you for this outstanding opportunity to make a difference in your family’s lives.
