Galleries of Niwot-Open House



Four art galleries in Niwot, Canvasback Gallery and Framing, Wildheart Gallery, Niwot Gallery and The Limited Edition, Inc. will be hosting open house receptions on Friday, July 23rd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Located on the main boulevard of Old Town Niwot on Second Avenue, the four galleries invite you to view their art work and meet various artists while enjoying refreshments and great conversation.
 
Niwot Gallery welcomes two new artists. Oil painter Jo Sherwood of Santa Fe travels the world in search of her favorite subject – primitive cultures performing everyday tasks. Jewelry artist Donna Cobb – Levison will display her collection of fine, hand-crafted jewelry in 18K gold, sterling silver with precious and semi-precious gems. Wildheart Gallery, located in the Niwot Emporium at 136 Second Avenue, is a must if you are an animal lover. Wildheart exclusively features the works of Mary Kittila, a local artist who specializes in animal portraiture. This artist has painted portraits ranging from beloved family pets to show animals and race horses for over 20 years and has work hanging in private and commercial collections nationwide.
 
Newly opened in May, Wildheart invites you to view the paintings of Mary Kittila or make an appointment for a private consultation with the artist. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. 
 
Canvasback Gallery and Framing will display new works by watercolorist David Throndson through the month of July. The gallery is located in Old Town Niwot at 280 Second Avenue and is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 303-652-2404
  
The Limited Edition, located in Old Town Niwot at 240 Second Avenue boasts an extensive collection of prints by master artist Charles Peterson. Peterson is best known for his ghosting images captured in familiar Heart of America backdrops. Peterson’s latest release, A Bedtime Story, will be on display and available for immediate purchase.

Silver Song Studios will display works by watercolorist Tammy Helart during July.
