The event was originally scheduled for Aug. 25, but was changed after a meeting with Cottonwood merchants to better accommodate their plans. The 2001 celebration will mark the 27th annual Nostalgia Days which began in 1975 as part of the Niwot Community School program. 

Co-Chairs for this year are George Stroh and Pam Temaat. Euvaldo Valdez is organizing the Fun Run, Happy Shaffner will coordinate the parade, Cliff Tharp will handle traffic signs and barricades, Linda Hawkins is working on the event permit, Sue Wilson will take care of finance and insurance, Mary Snell will coordinate the Cottonwood merchants and Pam Temaat will coordinate games and entertainment. 

Volunteers are needed for Publicity, Sponsorships, Volunteer Coordinator, Banners and Signs, Trash and Sanitation and Clean-Up.
