Over The Moon Espresso The idea of combining coffee, tea, and fiber arts is the creative idea of owners Tara, Jon and Bill Manning. Tara gained experience working at coffee shops in college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. When the trio moved to the Meadow View area, they thought the area definitely needed a “hang out.” That “hang out” became Over the Moon. Tara has been able to integrate her talents in knitting with her knowledge of coffee and tea; what could be better? “Over the moon,” said Tara,
“means to be so happy and full of joy. We also have gourmet treats,
sell jewelry, and (have) wonderful baby gifts.” Their specialties are lattés
and yarn!
Over the Moon is located in the Meadow View Shopping Center at the corner of Nelson and Airport Roads in southwest Longmont. Call 303-485-6778 for more information or directions. Hours of operation are: Monday 6:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m.-noon. Rosebud Coffee Co. A bit of unknown history about the cozy Rosebud Coffee Co. is that when Cottonwood Square was being built, owners Zack and sister Amy Yarrow’s father was on the construction crew. The siblings decided to open the Rosebud five years ago. Simply put, the Yarrows believe they have “the best coffee around, along with Amy’s gift baskets!” Zack said. There are no special favorites. “They’re all good! Just anything anyone wants, we’ll give it to ‘em!” Zack exclaimed. The Rosebud Coffee Co. is open Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m., closed Sundays and holidays. Call 303-652-2377 for more information. Caffé Luna Mark Michaels opened Caffé Luna in Longmont’s historic district at 800 Coffman Street. The converted home is said to be the place where teas and coffee were originally shipped and sold. Later, the building was sold and converted into a home. Now the building is once again selling coffee and tea. Mark has made this a Bohemian hang out with offbeat pictures on the walls and dinette tables and chairs throughout the inside. There is a porch where patrons can sit and sip the brews. The specialty of the house is a coffee freeze made with ice, milk, chocolate and your favorite coffee, all blended together. It is very popular in the summer. Caffé Luna also carries flavored syrups for coffees and Italian ices, as well as many high quality teas. Caffé Luna is open Monday-Saturday 6 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Call 303-702-9996 for more information. |
