Longtime Niwot residents Annie and Eric Lee, owners of Portabello’s Restaurant in south Longmont, are running a great Valentine’s Day special.  Eric Lee stated, “We are offering an additional special menu.  It’s a four-course meal, which includes an appetizer, salad, five special entrees and four desserts.  Entrees include a surf ‘n turf of filet mignon and lobster tail, seafood ravioli with shrimp and Chardonnay cream sauce, prime rib, halibut and steak Diane.

“As for desserts, you can be assured that any chocolate lover will be in heaven.  We have a chocolate Corazon with fresh raspberries and Grand Marnier crème Anglaise.  We are also presenting an Italian lemon cake, dark chocolate mousse cake and Tiramisu.”  Lee said.

All these items are especially created for Valentine’s Day. The cost, which includes champagne, is $35.95 per person.

The Lees opened the restaurant, which was the former Colorado Grill, in July 2001.  They also opened the Sweet Tomato Restaurant in Lafayette in 1993.

Portabello’s Restaurant is located at 965 South Hover in Longmont, across from Twin Peaks Mall.  Hours of operation are: Monday through Thursday - 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday - 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday - 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday - 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For Valentine’s Day, reservations are strongly recommended.  Call 303-774-1511.
