One hundred and twenty-six persons attended the Niwot Grade School Reunion held on Saturday, July 22, 2000 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Among the oldest in attendance were Judson Daniels, 88, Amy Cushman, 92, and Lulu James, 93. Two former teachers attended the reunion, Florence Nelson Siglinger and Margorie Neighbors Rider. Siglinger grew up in Niwot and attended Niwot Grade School. Many brought pictures to share. The Montoya family, who moved from Niwot to Denver in about 1941, came to the reunion and reunited with many old friends. Sixteen of the Art Sampson family were there. The Sampson family was one of the original residents of Niwot. The entire afternoon was spent visiting and reminiscing about past experiences. A good time was had by all! |
