Stroh Subdivision

On March 17th the Boulder County Planning Commission heard the application of Sandra M. Rau to subdivide her 2.6-acre property on Monte Vista Avenue into to lots. The hearing was for a Sketch Plan application, the first in a series of hearings necessary to obtain approval.

One of the commissioners asked, "Why this application allowed for 2 homes on just over one acre while a previous applicant was permitted only two homes on 35 acres?" Greg Oxenfeld, Staff Planner, explained that one unit on one acre was permitted in areas that are served by sewer and water services. Agricultural zoned land, without these services only permits two dwellings on 35 acres.

There was some discussion of view corridors by neighbors and the applicant agreed to consider their comments. The six commissioners present approved the application.
