You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 303-652-2433. Tyler Strong (Niwot) played in seven games for the University of Wyoming, posting four unassisted and two assisted tackles on the season. Strong, a true freshman, battled nagging injuries and an untimely appendectomy, but saw significant game action on the defensive line. He had perhaps his best day on the last game of the season, a 44-0 win over Colorado State. Strong recorded three solo tackles in the game, including one tackle for a loss. He also was credited with a sack and a forced fumble in a 34-31 loss to New Mexico two weeks earlier. Michael Beck (Alexander Dawson) of Niwot caught seven passes for 81 yards for Kenyon College in a 30-14 loss to Ohio Wesleyan. Beck followed with five receptions for 25 yards in a 31-6 loss to College of Wooster. Beck finished the season second on the team with 41 receptions for 386 yards. Nick Saraceni (Niwot) caught five passes for 67 yards for Occidental in a 28-24 loss to Chapman University. Saraceni also returned two kickoffs for 57 yards. He added four more receptions for 37 yards in a 33-17 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. In the final game of the season, a 24-0 loss to Cal Lutheran, Saraceni caught four passes for 27 yards and returned three kickoffs for 47 yards. For the season, he caught 22 passes for 253 yards in seven games, averaging 36 yards per game, fourth best on the squad. He also had eight kickoff returns for 145 yards, closing out his senior season. Occidental finished 4-5 on the year. Charles Sander (Alexander Dawson) of Niwot had eight solo tackles for Pomona-Pitzer in a 37-17 loss to Whittier College. He added two solo tackles and two assisted tackles in a 28-26 win over the University of La Verne in Pomona-Pitzer’s only win of the season. Sander, a senior linebacker, had two solo and one assisted tackle in a season-ending 31-30 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. |
