Tyler Strong (Niwot) has seen action in all three of the University of Wyoming’s first three games as a true freshman.  Strong is playing defensive line and recorded two assisted tackles against Texas.  Redshirt freshman teammate Jeff Roueche (Niwot), a linebacker, has yet to see action for the Cowboys.

Michael Beck (Alexander Dawson) of Niwot has 11 receptions for Kenyon College in the first two games of the season, good for 79 yards.  Beck is a wide receiver for Kenyon, which is 0-2 on the season.

Adam Watson (Niwot) suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder that will prevent him from playing his senior season for the University of Nebraska.  Watson had switched back to defensive back for the Huskers after spending last year as a receiver.  Watson was on the sidelines without pads for the first game of the season, which Nebraska won, 49-10 over Western Kentucky.  Watson, son of offensive coordinator and former Niwot resident Shawn Watson, watched the Huskers get off to a good start.  “We’ll know how good we are when we play Washington,” Watson said.  Nebraska beat Washington two weeks later, 56-21.

Nick Saraceni (Niwot) caught one pass for six yards and returned one kickoff for 16 yards for Occidental College in a 44-14 loss to Puget Sounds. In the opening game of the season, Saraceni caught five passes for 68 yards in a 42-25 loss to Menlo College.  He also had one kickoff return for 23 yards.

Charles Sander (Alexander Dawson) of Niwot had two solo tackles and three assisted tackles for Pomona-Pitzer in a 35-7 loss to Whitworth.  Sander, a senior linebacker, also had one solo tackle and two assisted tackles in a 63-38 loss to Lewis & Clark.

Niwot High captain Mitch Eutsler returned to the playing field for the Skyline game after battling a cancerous tumor on his brain.  Eutsler was cleared to play after undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.  He began suffering headaches last spring which became progressively worse. He was diagnosed with cancer in June.  A fundraiser was held Sept. 25 at Niwot High to help raise funds to assist the family with mounting medical expenses.
