ROPE JUMPING

Niwot High grad Maggie Waldner is part of the Claim Jumpers, a five-person jump roping team from the Front Range of Colorado.  The squad headed off to the World Youth Games and World Championships in England at the end of August.  Waldner and her teammates have been preparing since the U.S. Trials in Boise, Idaho, last September.

Waldner will also perform a freestyle routine to the Black-Eyed Peas tune, “Showdown.”  She finished 13th at the U.S. Trials in the event.  Waldner, who has competed at two previous World Championships, is a student at the University of Denver.
