Watson spent the past five seasons at the University of Nebraska, the last four as offensive coordinator. Watson was also a candidate for several head coaching positions after falling out of favor in Lincoln as the offense sputtered in the Big 12 title game and in the Holiday Bowl. His son Adam Watson, a Niwot High grad, completed his eligibility at Nebraska last fall, although he missed the entire season with a shoulder injury. Justin Traxinger, who spent his first two years at Niwot High before transferring to Longmont, has signed a national letter of intent to play at Colorado School of Mines next fall. Traxinger played offensive tackle and defensive end for the Trojans. |
