NYS Executive Director Tim Rudden announced that registration for recreational baseball and softball programs will be held March 5 and 6, with locations and times to be announced.  The deadline for registration is March 20, with parent meetings scheduled for April 11 and 12 at Niwot High School.  Opening Day festivities, including team pictures, food and fun events for the whole family, will be held May 15 at Monarch Fields.  NYS will again sponsor a day at the Rockies on June 12 for the 1 p.m. game against the Dodgers.  Tickets will be available from NYS participants.

Niwot Youth Sports basketball teams have been featured during halftime at the NHS boys basketball games this winter. The younger set provide an entertaining look at the future of the program.  Youth cheerleaders from a camp held by NHS cheerleaders got in on the action at halftime of a recent game, drawing rave reviews from the crowd.
