Junior Nick Stager has an impressive record this season in the 140 pound weight class, and is ranked among the top 10 wrestlers in the state in Class 4A at that division.  Even more impressive is the fact that Stager carries a 4.4 GPA in the International Baccalaureate program at Niwot at the same time.  Stager plans to continue with freestyle wrestling in the spring after the high school season ends. He also plays football for the Cougars in the fall.

Paco Retana (Niwot) is redshirting this season at Mesa State.  As a result Retana has been limited to entering several open tournaments to hone his skills.
