Makayla Palmer (Niwot) won the 200Y Freestyle and took third in the 200Y Backstroke for Whitworth College in a dual meet win over Lewis & Clark College. Palmer, a sophomore, also swam a leg of the fourth-place mixed 200Y Freestyle Relay at the NWC Relays.

 

Laura Farrar (Niwot) was named Swimmer of the Week for Widener University in Pennsylvania.  Farrar won four races helping Widener to a dual win over FDU-Fordham.  She won the 200Y Freestyle, 100Y Butterfly and 100Y Breaststroke in addition to swimming a leg on the winning 200Y Freestyle Relay.  She also won the 200 IM and the 200Y Breaststroke earlier in a dual meet win over Albright.  In a dual win over Swarthmore, Farrar won the 200Y Breaststroke and took second in the 200Y IM.  She helped Widener to a dual win over Scranton for the first time since 1994, winning the 200Y IM and setting a school record in the 200Y Breaststroke in the process.  Widener was named the university’s Athlete of the Week Nov. 19 for her efforts.

Lilly Yie (Niowt) was part of the winning 200Y Medley Relay for Babson College in Massachusetts in a dual loss to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Yie also won the 100Y Breaststroke and 200Y IM, while finishing second in the 200Y Breaststroke.
