Sue Fattor, neighborhood Walk and Roll Leader and Safe Routes to School committee member, directs her son, Keenan Fattor, along with Ari Hartung and Madeline Williams, across 75th street during International Walk to school day in October. The event celebrates walking and biking as a means to enhance health, enjoy fresh air, and have fun with school buddies. Heatherwood’s goal for International Walk to School Day was to have 100 percent of the student body participate. Ninety percent walked or rode their bikes that day.
