SPECIAL TO THE COURIER

Nick Stager was recently awarded the Eagle Scout Badge. He began participating in scouting shortly after he graduated from kindergarten when he joined Cub Scout Pack 174 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Boulder.

After earning his Arrow of Light Award in Cub Scouts, Nick joined Boy Scout Troop 161 in Niwot. He graduated from the BSA’s Big Horn Junior Leader Training Program and served in many leadership roles with Troop 161, including Senior Patrol Leader.

Stager also participated in high adventure Scout trips including back packing at The National Boy Scout Ranch near Philmont, NM; canoeing in the wilderness at the BSA Canoe Base in Atikoken, Ontario, Canada; and attending the Boy Scout National Jamboree which was held at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia.

Stager’s Eagle Scout project included cleaning out and rebuilding the football storage shed at Niwot High School. He is the son of Mark and Barbara Stager of Niwot, and joins his father and older brother, Luke, as Eagle Scouts.
Outside of scouting, Stager is a junior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Niwot High School and participates in football, wrestling and jazz band.
